On Saturday, October 11th, 2008, a special fundraising event was held to support the efforts of SUPPORTING HEROES. Public safety agencies from across Indiana and Kentucky held “boot drives” (or “roadblocks”) and other events to raise money to support the families of fallen public safety heroes.

The goals of this event were:

  • Raise badly needed funds to support the families of Indiana’s and Kentucky’s fallen public safety heroes

  • Increase awareness of the service and sacrifice of public safety personnel

  • Increase awareness of the importance of supporting families of the fallen

Robinson Lodge once again participated in the Supporting Heroes Boot Drive. The location of our collection was at the intersection of Taylorsville Road and Hurstbourne Lane. All Lodges, wives and family members of Masons, or anyone who is at least 18 years of age were all encouraged to participate in this most worthy cause. We were once again blessed with wonderful weather, and the event was a fantastic success, and it was a true delight to have taken part in such a wonderful program that raised money to help the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
